Welcome

Situated in the quiet countryside of the rolling hills of the Allier in France, my cosy little pottery is the perfect place for me to retreat to for reflection, inspiration and creativity. I can often be found sitting at my old French school desk with the doors and windows wide open, dogs at my feet, listening to the sound of birds singing in the nearby woods. Each piece I make is individual, be it a pot, a bowl, a jug or a figure, no two pieces are the same. All my pottery is earthenware and each piece is made by me in my workshop. It may be thrown on an electric wheel or hand modelled. I do not use moulds so each piece is individual and unique. It is then left until fully dry which can take up to a week. After a little bit of tidying up it is fired in an electric kiln to a temperature of 1050 degrees Celsius . It is then allowed to cool before being glazed. The glaze can be in liquid or powder form and can be applied in various ways. The piece is then fired, again to a temperature of 1050 degrees Celsius . All the glazes I use are lead free and suitable for food use. All items are oven and dishwasher safe. If you would like to visit and view my work, please contact me beforehand to check on suitable dates and times. Thank you for visiting my website.
